Chop dried figs roughly and then blitz in a coffee grinder so that it becomes a little pasty. It will still feel granular due to the presence of seeds. Mix the chopped almonds into the ground figs and make little balls about 1/2 inch in diameter. Roll over ground almonds or pistachios and arrange in alternate layers. Alternately, you could press the ground mixture on a plate and cut it into desired shapes.
